Biography
Valeria Bruni Tedeschi is an Italian-French actress and filmmaker. Born in Turin, Italy, on 16 November 1964, she trained in drama at the École des Amandiers in Nanterre under Patrice Chéreau and made her screen debut in the late 1980s.
She has appeared in more than eighty films and stage productions, including Queen Margot (1994), Munich (2005) as Sylvie, A Good Year (2006), Human Capital (2013) and Summer of 85 (2020). She has also directed several features, among them A Castle in Italy (2013), which was nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes. Bruni Tedeschi has received multiple David di Donatello awards for best actress and a César Award for most promising actress.
