Biography
Valeriia Karaman is a Ukrainian actress, filmmaker and director based in London. Born in Bendery, Moldova, and raised in Ukraine, she made her screen debut as the Mermaid in the 2019 film The Lighthouse directed by Robert Eggers.
She has since appeared in Egregor (2021) and other projects including the forthcoming Capsule. Alongside acting, Karaman writes and directs her own films, with a focus on psychological horror and Eastern European folklore.
