Biography
Vanessa Riera, also credited as Vanessa Riera Frangu, is a Swiss costume designer based in Geneva. She is known for her work on the stop-motion animated feature My Life as a Zucchini (2016, also known as Ma vie de Courgette), on which she shared costume design and supervision duties with Christel Grandchamp, creating dozens of miniature garments for the puppets.
Riera trained and worked as a specialised educator for adolescents before turning to textile creation around 2001. Born in Geneva to a Peruvian father and a Franco-Swiss mother, she has maintained an atelier-boutique in the city and has additional costume credits on the Swiss productions La femme canon (2017) and La preuve scientifique de l'existence de Dieu (2019).
