Biography

Vera Drew is an American filmmaker, director, writer, editor and actor. Born on 22 May 1989 in Chicago, Illinois, she began her career editing comedy projects and honed her skills at Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim's Abso Lutely Productions.

She edited the Sacha Baron Cohen series Who Is America? (2018), for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming. Drew directed the Adult Swim series SCUM (2019) and other Channel 5 projects including I Love David and Our Bodies. She is best known for writing, directing, producing and starring in the feature The People's Joker (2022).
