Biography
Verdi Solaiman is an Indonesian actor, director, producer and acting educator of Chinese descent. He was born Zulverdi Amos Solaiman on 14 March 1975 in Jakarta and is the son of actor Henky Solaiman.
After studying and working in advertising design in the United States for ten years, he returned to Indonesia around 2003–2004 and trained at Sakti Aktor Studio. He made his feature-film debut in Jakarta Undercover (2007) and is best known for his role as Budi in The Raid (2012). Other notable credits include The Forbidden Door (2009), Java Heat (2013), Message Man (2018) and Cigarette Girl (2023). He has also directed and produced films.
