Biography
Veronica Rodriguez is a Mexican-American writer, director and producer working in film and television. She graduated from the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California and began her career as an assistant at Funny or Die, later producing and directing digital content for the company.
She participated in the Sundance New Voices Lab and was the 2019 Sundance Institute Latinx Fellow, as well as taking part in the Viacom ViewFinder and Refinery29 Shatterbox director programmes. Rodriguez made her feature directorial debut with the 2021 television film Let's Get Merried for VH1 and MTV Studios, which earned her a nomination for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Director. She has written episodes of the series Betty (2020) and Freeridge (2023), and directed the Disney+ film The Slumber Party (2023). She is the director of Camp Rock 3 (2026).
