Biography
Vilma Marie Ebsen was an American actress and dancer. She was born on 1 February 1911 in Belleville, Illinois, and performed on Broadway with her brother Buddy Ebsen in Flying Colors (1932) and the Ziegfeld Follies of 1934.
In 1935 the siblings appeared together in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer musical Broadway Melody of 1936, in which Ebsen played Sally Burke. She made one further Broadway appearance, in Between the Devil (1937), before retiring from performing. She later co-owned the Ebsen School of Dancing in Pacific Palisades, California. Ebsen died on 12 March 2007 in Thousand Oaks, California.
