Biography
Vinnie Wilhelm is a television writer and producer. His credits include staff writer on the series The Terror (2018) and Manhattan (2014–2015), writer on episodes of Castle Rock (2018), Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020), and Talamasca: The Secret Order (2025), and teleplay credits on The Right Stuff (2020). He has also served as co-executive producer or co-producer on several of these series.
Wilhelm was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1978 and raised largely in Southern California. He is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and previously published short fiction in journals including The Virginia Quarterly Review, Harvard Review, Glimmer Train Stories, and The Southern Review. He received a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship in 2010 and lives in Philadelphia.
