Biography
Virginia North (born Virginia Anne Northrop; 24 April 1946 – 5 June 2004) was a British model and actress. The daughter of an American army officer and a British mother, she grew up in several countries before settling in London, where she worked as a model with the agency Models 1.
She appeared in small roles in five films and one television programme between 1967 and 1971. Her credits include Brenda in Deadlier Than the Male (1967), Champa in The Long Duel (1967), Robot No. 9 in Some Girls Do (1969), Olympe in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), Francoise Simone in an episode of the series Department S (1969), and Vulnavia in The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971).
In 1974 she married industrialist Gordon White; the marriage ended in divorce in 1991. She became Lady White when her husband received a knighthood in 1979.
