Biography
VJ Boyd, also credited as V.J. Boyd, is a television writer and producer. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas and began his career in Los Angeles as an assistant on several series before joining the writers' room on the FX series Justified for its second season in 2011. He contributed as a writer and later as a producer on the show, which ran until 2015.
Boyd has written episodes for S.W.A.T. (2017) and The Player (2015). He co-created and served as executive producer on the NBC series Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector (2020) and worked as a writer and executive producer on Justified: City Primeval (2023). He is the showrunner of the Netflix limited series The Madness (2024) and has written a graphic novel.
