Biography
Volkmar Kleinert is a German actor. He trained at the Theaterhochschule Leipzig from 1957 and made his professional stage debut in 1960 at the Eisenacher Landesbühne. He later joined the ensemble of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, where he remained until 2006.
Kleinert has appeared in over one hundred film and television productions. He played Albert Jerska in The Lives of Others (2006), Joseph Ludowski in the series Der Clown (1998–1999), and Prof. Reinhoffer in Lara (2019). Other credits include episodes of Alarm for Cobra 11: The Motorway Police (1996) and Tatort. He has also worked extensively as a narrator in radio plays.
