Biography
Walter DeLeon (3 May 1884 – 1 August 1947) was an American screenwriter and playwright. Born in Oakland, California, he wrote screenplays for 69 films released between 1921 and 1953.
His credits include Ruggles of Red Gap (1935), The Cat and the Canary (1939), Union Pacific (1939), The Ghost Breakers (1940) and The Time of Their Lives (1946). He also wrote several Broadway plays and musicals in the 1920s.
