Biography
Warren Clymer (29 December 1922 – 16 July 2007) was an American art director, production designer and set decorator. Born in Davenport, Iowa, he studied at the University of Iowa and Indiana University Bloomington. He began working in television scenic design in the 1950s and later contributed to feature films.
Clymer served as production designer on Alice's Restaurant (1969), A New Leaf (1971) and Rivals (1972). He was art director on Where's Poppa? (1970) and The Godfather (1972), and worked as a draughtsman on Angel Heart (1987).
In television he collaborated frequently with director George Schaefer on Hallmark Hall of Fame productions and won two Primetime Emmy Awards for art direction and scenic design, with five further nominations.
