Biography
Waylon Jennings (1937–2002) was an American singer, songwriter and actor. He voiced The Balladeer, his character from the series The Dukes of Hazzard, in two episodes of the animated series Family Guy (1999 and 2001).
Jennings appeared in several films and television programmes, including as a truck driver in Follow That Bird (1985), a guest role in Married... with Children (1994) and a part in Maverick (1994). He also provided narration and the theme song for all seven seasons of The Dukes of Hazzard (1979–1985). He began playing guitar at the age of eight and first performed on radio at the age of twelve.
