Biography
Waylon Payne is an American actor, singer, songwriter and musician. Born on 5 April 1972 in Nashville, Tennessee, he is the son of guitarist Jody Payne and country singer Sammi Smith, and is named after his godfather Waylon Jennings.
Payne played Jerry Lee Lewis in the 2005 film Walk the Line, performing his own vocals on the soundtrack. His other screen credits include the role of Hank Garland in Crazy (2008), appearances in Road to Nowhere (2010) and The Identical (2014), and guest roles in television series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.
