Biography
Wendy Straker Hauser is a television writer and producer. After a career in advertising she published the book Sexy Jobs in the City and wrote a column for the New York Post. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 36 to pursue work in television.
Her credits include writing episodes of The Client List (2013) and Beauty and the Beast (2013–2015). In 2017 she joined the staff of The Handmaid's Tale as co-producer and wrote the teleplay for the episode "A Woman's Place". She later served as writer and showrunner on The Bold Type (2017–2021) and contributed to Motorheads (2025). She received Writers Guild of America awards for her work on The Handmaid's Tale.
