Biography

Wesley Strick is an American screenwriter, director and producer. Born on 11 February 1954 in New York City, he graduated from Vassar College and the University of California, Berkeley. He began his career as a rock journalist in New York before moving into screenwriting.

Strick wrote the screenplay for Martin Scorsese's Cape Fear (1991), as well as Arachnophobia (1990), Wolf (1994, co-written with Jim Harrison), The Saint (1997) and Doom (2005). He has contributed to television series including The Man in the High Castle (2015) and Carnival Row (2019). He won a Saturn Award for Wolf and directed the film The Tie That Binds (1995). He has also worked extensively as a script doctor.
