Biography
Wiley Wiggins is an American actor born in Austin, Texas, on 6 November 1976. He is best known for playing Mitch Kramer in Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused (1993), which he filmed at the age of 16 after being approached by a casting scout outside an Austin coffee shop.
Wiggins later appeared in Linklater's Waking Life (2001), as well as Love and a .45 (1994), Boys (1996), The Faculty (1998) and Computer Chess (2013). He was involved in early 1990s cyberculture and wrote for magazines including Mondo 2000 and Boing Boing. He is the nephew of musician Lanny Wiggins, a member of Janis Joplin's early band The Waller Creek Boys. Wiggins has also worked in game design and animation, and maintains a weblog on film, art and technology.
