Biography
Wilfried Seyferth was a German actor. Born in Darmstadt, he trained at the acting school of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin and made his stage debut in 1929. He worked in theatres in Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zurich, and later at the Münchner Kammerspiele, appearing in classics by Shakespeare, Lessing, Chekhov, Gogol and Shaw. He also performed at the Salzburg Festival and other venues.
Seyferth appeared in films from 1933. In the 1950s he played villainous roles, including Nazi characters in the American productions Decision Before Dawn (1951) as Heinz Scholtz, an SS man, and The Devil Makes Three (1952). He also appeared in German films such as 08/15 (1954) as Major Luschke.
