Biography
Will Berson is an American screenwriter. He co-wrote the screenplay and story for the 2021 film Judas and the Black Messiah with Shaka King (and story credit shared with Kenny Lucas and Keith Lucas). The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
Berson grew up in New York City and graduated from Haverford College. He began his career as a writers' assistant on series including Spin City, Scrubs and Arrested Development, and wrote episodes of Scrubs (2003), Run of the House (2004) and The Mighty B! (2008). He performed and taught at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre before transitioning to dramatic writing.
