Biography
Will Butler is an American musician, composer and actor. Born on 6 October 1982, he is best known as a former member of the indie rock band Arcade Fire, with whom he performed from 2003 until 2021. He has also worked as a composer for film and television.
Butler contributed to the original score of the 2013 film Her, for which he and Owen Pallett received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Score. His acting credits include appearances in the 2011 short Scenes from the Suburbs and various music videos. He has also provided music for films including Boyhood (2014) and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013).
