Biography
William B. Jurgensen (also credited as William K. Jurgensen) was an American cinematographer and director. He served as director of photography on the television series MASH* from its 1972 pilot through 110 episodes until 1977, and directed ten episodes between 1975 and 1979.
He began his career in the late 1950s as an assistant cameraman on feature films including South Pacific (1958) and The Diary of Anne Frank (1959). Jurgensen worked extensively in television, with cinematography credits on series such as Hogan's Heroes, Lou Grant and Flying High, and on television films including Stranger in Our House (1978) and The Return of the Six-Million-Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman (1987). He received three Primetime Emmy nominations for his cinematography on MASH*.
Jurgensen was born on 20 August 1925 in Iowa and died on 30 January 2006 in Rancho Mirage, California.
