Biography
William Binney is a former intelligence official with the United States National Security Agency (NSA) and a whistleblower. He worked at the agency for more than thirty years, retiring on 31 October 2001 as technical director for world geopolitical and military analysis.
Binney has appeared as himself in several documentaries, including Citizenfour (2014). He has been a critic of NSA surveillance practices under multiple US administrations.
