Biography
William C. Thompson was an American cinematographer. Born in Bound Brook, New Jersey, he began working in the film industry in the 1910s and continued into the early 1960s.
He is best remembered for his collaborations with director Edward D. Wood Jr., serving as director of photography on Glen or Glenda (1953), Jail Bait (1954), Bride of the Monster (1955), The Violent Years (1956), Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957) and Night of the Ghouls (1959). Other credits include Maniac (1934) and Dementia (1955). He also directed the 1935 film The Irish Gringo.
