Biography
William Gates (born 28 December 1971) is an American actor and former basketball player from Chicago, Illinois. He is best known for appearing as himself in the 1994 documentary film Hoop Dreams, which followed his high school and college basketball career alongside Arthur Agee.
Gates played three seasons for Marquette University between 1991 and 1995. His other screen credit includes the role of Teammate #2 in an episode of the television series Early Edition (1996). He later became a pastor and co-hosts a podcast with Agee.
