Biography

William Haugse is an American film editor. He worked on the documentary Hoop Dreams (1994), sharing editing duties with Steve James and Frederick Marx on the three-year post-production of the Kartemquin Films production.

Haugse has edited numerous documentaries, including The Woman Who Wasn't There (2012), City of Gold (2015) and Gore Vidal: The United States of Amnesia (2013). He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for Hoop Dreams, shared with his co-editors, and won an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award for the film.
