Biography
William J. MacDonald is an American film and television producer and writer.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. He worked in international trade and business affairs before running Hollywood producer Robert Evans' production company at Paramount Pictures.
MacDonald has producer, co-producer or executive producer credits on films including Sliver (1993), Jade (1995), The Saint (1997), Molly (1999) and One Man's Hero (1999). He co-created the HBO series Rome (2005–2007) with John Milius and Bruno Heller, serving as executive producer and writer on the series.
