Biography
William LeVanway was an American film editor. He was born on 7 September 1896 in Portland, Oregon, and died on 1 November 1957 in Hollywood, California.
LeVanway worked for many years at MGM, where he served as head of the studio's film editorial department. He edited A Night at the Opera (1935) and China Seas (1935), and received supervising editor credit on An American in Paris (1951). Other credits include Fury (1936) and Possessed (1931). He retired in the summer of 1956 after 32 years at the studio.
