Biography
William Prince was an American actor. He began his career on stage in the 1930s after leaving Cornell University to join a Federal Theatre tour of The Taming of the Shrew. He gained experience with the Barter Theater and made his Broadway debut in 1937.
Prince appeared in numerous soap operas, including a lead role in Young Dr. Malone (1958–1963), and made dozens of guest appearances on primetime series. His film roles include Network (1976) as Edward Ruddy, The Stepford Wives (1975) as Ike Mazzard, Family Plot (1976) as Bishop Wood and The Gauntlet (1977) as Blakelock. He was married to actress Augusta Dabney.
