Biography
William Wise was an American actor and playwright. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he began his career with stage work, including Broadway appearances in Ah, Wilderness! (1988) and The Speed of Darkness (1991).
His film and television roles include Willis Grinnel in In the Bedroom (2001), Wade Bowman in Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (2001), Dr. Louis Traff in Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital (2004), and multiple appearances in the Law & Order franchise. He also wrote the play adapted for the television short Traveler's Rest (1993). Wise died on 9 September 2024.
