Biography
Wilson Salazar is a Colombian actor. He is known for playing the Messenger, a guerrilla commander, in the 2019 film Monos directed by Alejandro Landes.
Salazar joined the FARC guerrilla group at the age of 11 and served for 13 years before deserting. Landes encountered him at a reintegration programme, initially hiring him as a military consultant for the film before casting him in the role. Salazar had previously appeared in the film Travesía and attended the Berlin International Film Festival with the Monos cast.
