Biography
Win Butler is an American-Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He co-founded the indie rock band Arcade Fire in Montreal and serves as its lead vocalist.
Butler was born Edwin Farnham Butler III on 14 April 1980. Arcade Fire contributed music to the 2013 film Her, with additional credits including the score for The Box (2009) and soundtrack work on The Hunger Games (2012). He has appeared as himself in documentaries such as Shut Up and Play the Hits (2012) and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016), and acted in the short film Scenes from the Suburbs (2011).
