Biography

Wyott Ordung was an American writer, actor and director. Born in Shanghai, China, on 23 May 1922, he served as a warrant officer in the United States Army during the Second World War before working in Hollywood.

He received the screenplay credit for the science-fiction film Robot Monster (1953) and the story credit for First Man into Space (1959). Other writing credits include Target Earth (1954), Walk the Dark Street (1956) and Combat Squad (1953). He also directed Monster from the Ocean Floor (1954) and Walk the Dark Street (1956), and appeared as an actor in several films and television series, including episodes of Dick Tracy.

Ordung died in California on 25 August 2005.
