Biography
Xavier Maly is a French actor born on 1 January 1958 in Montélimar, Drôme. The son of painter Michel Maly, he moved to Paris at the age of 20 and trained at the Cours Florent. He began his career with a one-man show at the Théâtre des Blancs-Manteaux before entering film.
His early screen roles include appearances in Three Men and a Cradle (1985) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988). He later played supporting parts in Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002), A Very Long Engagement (2004) and RRRrrrr!!! (2004). Maly portrayed Michel in Of Gods and Men (2010) and has continued working in film and television, with credits including My First Time (2012), Remi, Nobody's Boy (2018) and Notre-Dame on Fire (2022).
