Biography
Xu Qing, also credited as Summer Qing or Qing Xu, is a Chinese actress. She was born on 22 January 1969 in Beijing and trained at the Beijing Film Academy, graduating in 1992 after being accepted in 1988.
She made her film debut in Life on a String (1990), directed by Chen Kaige. Among her notable roles are Soong Ching-ling in The Founding of a Republic (2009), for which she received the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Supporting Actress, Old Joe's wife in Looper (2012), Madam Lau in Flash Point (2007), and Hua Xia Zi in Mr. Six (2015). She has also appeared in 24 Hours to Live (2017) and Hidden Man (2018).
