Biography
Yakov Bliokh was a Soviet film director, producer and organiser of film production. He was born in 1895 in Tambov, Russian Empire, and died on 5 July 1957 in Moscow.
Bliokh entered the film industry in 1924 and held production roles at studios including Goskino. He served as producer on Sergei Eisenstein’s Battleship Potemkin (1925). As a director he is credited on the documentary Shanhkayskiy dokument (1928) and Pamyati Sergo Ordzhonikidze (1937).
