Biography
Yana Penrose is a British actor and writer. Originally from Cornwall and based in London, she trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts.
She is known for her role as Jess and Linsey in Mark Jenkin’s Rose of Nevada (2025). Her other screen credits include Carnivore: Werewolf of London (2017) as Jenny, and earlier short films such as Crossing Over (2017), on which she also received a writing credit.
Penrose has an extensive theatre background, with stage appearances including 101 Dalmatians at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and Animal Farm on UK tour. She has written work for the Minack Theatre and Theatre 503, and is due to join the Royal Shakespeare Company production of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.
