Biography
Yevgeni Tilicheyev (also credited as Evgeniy Tilicheev or Тиличеев Евгений Сергеевич) was a Soviet and Russian actor. He was born on 1 June 1946 in Leningrad and died on 13 April 2021 in St Petersburg.
He trained at the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, graduating in 1971, and joined the St Petersburg Theatre of Musical Comedy as a soloist in 1972, where he remained for nearly fifty years and played dozens of leading roles in operettas and musical comedies. He also appeared in numerous films and television productions from the 1970s onwards, often in supporting or character parts.
His screen credits include Come and See (1985) as Gezhel, Truffaldino from Bergamo (1976) and Russia (1986). He was named an Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation in 1998.
