Biography
Y'lan Noel is an American actor. Born on 19 August 1988 in Brooklyn, New York, he was raised in Queens and later Decatur, Georgia. He is of Afro-Panamanian descent. He began his studies at Morehouse College before transferring to New York University, where he earned a BFA from the Tisch School of the Arts.
Noel is known for portraying Daniel King in the HBO series Insecure (2016–2018) and Dmitri Cimber in the film The First Purge (2018). He played Ferdie Platt in the Apple TV+ limited series Lady in the Lake (2024) and Coltrane Wilder in Nemesis (2026). For his voice role as Troy Marshall in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, he received a nomination for the British Academy Games Award for Performer in a Leading Role.
