Biography
Yorick van Wageningen is a Dutch actor born on 16 April 1964 in Baarn, Utrecht. He began his career in Dutch theatre, films and television series in the late 1980s.
He was invited to Hollywood for a role in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report (2002) but visa difficulties prevented his participation. He subsequently appeared in several American productions, with a breakthrough role as The Guv in The Chronicles of Riddick (2004). Other credits include The New World (2005), The Way (2010), 47 Ronin (2013), Blackhat (2015) and Papillon (2017).
In the Netherlands he starred in Winter in Wartime (2008). He played Nils Bjurman in the 2011 remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
