Biography

Yoshiko Miyazaki (宮崎美子) is a Japanese actress. Born on 11 December 1958 in Kumamoto, Japan, she began her career as a model while studying at university and gained early fame through a 1980 television commercial for Minolta cameras.

She is known for her role as Lady Sue in Akira Kurosawa's Ran (1985). Other film credits include After the Rain (1999), for which she received the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Supporting Actress, Shutter (2008) and the voice of the grandmother in Mirai (2018). She has also appeared in numerous television dramas and continues to work in film and voice acting.
