Biography
Yoshio Miyajima was a Japanese cinematographer. Born on 3 February 1909 in Nagano Prefecture, he died on 21 February 1998.
He served as director of photography on The Human Condition trilogy (1959–1961), Harakiri (1962), Kwaidan (1964) and Empire of Passion (1978). Miyajima received Mainichi Film Awards for Best Cinematography for his work on Before Dawn and Kanikosen (both 1953), the first two parts of The Human Condition (1959), the third part (1961) and Kwaidan (1964). He was active from 1929 until his death.
