Biography
Yoshito Yasuhara is a Japanese actor and voice actor. Born on 17 November 1949 in Aioi, Hyogo Prefecture, he is a member of the theatre troupe and talent agency Theatre Echo.
He has voiced numerous characters in anime, including Louis in Castle in the Sky (1986), Aoshi Shinomori in Rurouni Kenshin (1996), and roles in Future Boy Conan (1978), The Rose of Versailles (1979) and Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise (1987). He has also provided voices for later series such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022) and The Apothecary Diaries (2023).
Yasuhara is married to actress and voice actor Yuri Kimura. He is known for dubbing Western actors including Mickey Rourke, Kevin Bacon and Bill Murray into Japanese.
