Biography
Yōsuke Akimoto (also credited as Yôsuke Akimoto) is a Japanese actor and voice actor. Born Yukio Tajika on 5 February 1944 in Tokyo, he is a graduate of the business school at Hosei University and trained at the Bungakuza acting school before beginning voice work in the early 1970s.
He is known for roles including Tejima in Perfect Blue (1997), Dr Fuji in Pokémon: The First Movie (1998), Master Asia in Mobile Fighter G Gundam (1994) and various characters in the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Akimoto has worked extensively in anime, video games and dubbing, and is currently affiliated with Office PAC.
