Biography
Yuumi Kawai (also credited as Yumi Kawai and 河井ゆう美) is a Japanese anime director and animator. She graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 2011 and earned a master's degree from the Graduate School of Film and New Media at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013.
She is known for her work on Attack on Titan (2013), where she served as assistant director, production assistant and key animator, and directed an episode of the second season. Other credits include episode director and assistant director roles on Seraph of the End (2015) and The Ancient Magus' Bride (2017). She also directed the short film Fusuma no Oku (2012).
