Biography

Yuya Endo (also credited as Yūya Endō and 遠藤 雄弥) is a Japanese actor and singer. Born on 20 March 1987 in Atsugi, Kanagawa, he began acting as a child and made his major screen debut in the 2000 film Juvenile. He trained through auditions and became known for stage work, including as a member of the young men's troupe D-BOYS and for portraying Ryoma Echizen in the Prince of Tennis musical series (Tenimyu) from 2004.

Endo has appeared in numerous films and television dramas. He is known for roles in 1 Litre of Tears (2005), Nodame Cantabile (2006), The Eternal Zero (2013), Onoda: 10,000 Nights in the Jungle (2021) as young Onoda, and Godzilla Minus One (2023) as Tadayuki Saito. He has also featured in the HiGH&LOW film series. Endo has received the Best Actor award at the Takasaki Film Festival and the Japan Film Professional Award.
