Biography
Yuzuru Tachikawa (立川 譲) is a Japanese anime director. He was born on 2 December 1981 in Iruma District, Saitama. After graduating from the Nihon University College of Art, he joined the animation studio Madhouse, where he made his directorial debut with the final episode of the series Kiba in 2007. He later worked as a freelancer.
Tachikawa directed the series Death Parade (2015), Mob Psycho 100 (2016–2022) and Deca-Dence (2020). He contributed as episode director and storyboard artist on Attack on Titan (2013). He has also directed feature films including Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer (2018) and Blue Giant (2023), and served as assistant director on Terror in Resonance (2014).
He received nominations for Best Director at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards for his work on Mob Psycho 100 and Deca-Dence.
