Biography
Zach Helm is an American screenwriter, film director and producer. He graduated from DePaul University’s Goodman Theatre School in 1996, having trained as an actor, and later entered a writers’ programme with Fox 2000 Pictures.
Helm wrote the screenplay for Stranger Than Fiction (2006), for which he received the National Board of Review Award for Best Original Screenplay. He wrote and directed Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium (2007) and contributed the screenplay for Deep Water (2022). He also wrote the stage play Good Canary.
