Biography
Zaira Wasim is an Indian former actress who worked in Hindi films. She was born on 23 October 2000 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
Wasim made her film debut as young Geeta Phogat in the biographical sports drama Dangal (2016). She went on to star as an aspiring singer in Secret Superstar (2017) and as Aisha Chaudhary in The Sky Is Pink (2019). She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Dangal and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for Secret Superstar.
Wasim received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in 2017. She announced her retirement from acting in 2019.
