Biography
Zam Salim is a British writer and director. Born in Manchester in 1973, he began working in film in the early 2000s, initially as an editor and later directing numerous short films.
His feature debut Up There (2011) premiered at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival and received several awards, including Best Film and Best Director at the BAFTA Scotland Awards. He has directed episodes of television series including M.I. High (2008), The Break (2016) and Endeavour (2020).
Salim is a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit and has been recognised as a Screen International Star of Tomorrow. He founded Incidental Pictures and continues to develop feature projects.
